Bike Week – Panama City Beach

For many Bake Week season, Southern Sound and Lighting has been providing production at the Sand Piper Beach Resort for Panama City, Thunder Beach Bike Week.  The Sand Piper Beach Resort is known as the “fun place” with the world famous Tiki Bar.  They host live music for bike week featuring bands like, Big Engine, Mustang Sally and other artists that are a little bit rock and a little bit country.

Southern Sound and Lighting provides a ground stack sound package for multiple stages.  This allows one band to end and the other one start without taking a break of live music.  We also provide a lighting package.

Each night the bands play different sets so you can come each night and experience a different show.

Concert Touring – Motown

Southern Sound and Lighting was the proud production provider for “Motown!”  Motown was an international tour that went to multiple cities in Canad and all through the United States on an 9 week, 52 show date tour.  Motown focused on paying homage to the great’s of the Motown music movement. It was an extremely popular tour with many sell out dates.

SSL provided the lighting, sound and staff for the tour.  SSL provides touring packages for all types of tours and lengths.  This tour carried beams, washes and spot packages in addition to a star curtain.  The audio package consisted of digital consoles, monitors and wireless packages and power.

Jacksonville Equestrian Center – Backwoods Jam

Southern Sound and Lighting was the production company that provided, sound, stage and lighting for the Backwoods Country Jam at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center.  This music festival had Lee Brice as the headlining artist with support acts by Maddie + Tae, Cole Taylor, Blair Hanks, Kirstie Lovelady 309 C, and Amber DeLaCruiz.

The Backwoods Jam was the first concert in over 10 years to be at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center.  This event space is great for the huge parking lot areas, cover space, over 8,000 person capacity and easy space to set up!

Jacksonville Beach Concerts

When it comes to events at the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion, Southern Sound and Lighting has a proven record for providing excellent sound, impressive lights and video walls that everyone attending enjoys.

SSL has been the production company for many events at the Seawalk and we are looking forward to many more years.

Many of the events in Jax Beach consist of multiple stages, entertainment zones, beer tents, vendor booths and VIP tents!  Southern Sound and Lighting has also provided lawn games for some of the events.  These consisted of giant battleship, jumbo Jenga, corn hole, and Connect 4!

For the third year in a row, Southern Sound and Lighting provided production for Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach FL. Each year Gulf Coast Jam gets better and better with bigger artists, unique ticket/view options, better lighting packages, and unique branding opportunities.

This year Southern Sound and Lighting ordered a custom roof skin for Gulf Coast Jam. This addition made the branding and overall look of the stage pop and allowed for a vibrant signage that cannot be achieved with blow through banners.

Gulf Coast Jam now offers Jammers 2 unique VIP experiences; the VIP Stages and VIP Sky Boxes. The VIP Stages is a 2 level experience that allows you to see on stage, behind stage and side stage. These perspectives give a unique view of the performers and allow guests to capture memorable pictures from the event.

The VIP Sky Boxes were new additions to GCJ this year. There were 10 Sky Boxes per side with a artist walkway that allowed them to interact and walk down the entire length of the Sky Box.

Southern Sound and Lighting provided the Main Stage, 60×48 with custom sized monitor worlds, a 48 foot cat walk, and covered loading dock areas. Gulf Coast Jam also had 3 video walls and rear delays.

In addition to the Gulf Coast Jam main stage, SSL also provided the production for the Pepsi Southern Original contest at Dave and Busters, Panama City Beach. Dave and Busters also hosted the After Parties.

Jacksonville Stage Rentals

Southern Sound and Lighting can provide mobile or permanent stage’s for concerts, festivals and events in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas. Our mobile stages have been used multiple times in downtown Jacksonville for different festivals and events in, St. Augustine, Orange Park, Fernandina Beach and Yulee.

We have two standard mobile stage options; 24×32 and 40×40. Each one of these stages can be increased in size with additional loading docks, side stages for monitor world and/or cat walks. Mobile stages have many benefits to them such as quicker set up and take down times. Our mobile stages also allow us to hang lights, line arrays, banners and signs from the roof and outriggers.

Concert Stage Rentals in Florida

If you are a promoter, event coordinator or organization that is looking for a  stage for your festival or event…give us a call!  We will be happy to provide you a free quote.  When you give us a call we will go over all aspects of your event with you and make a recommendation based on what your needs are.  The staff at Southern Sound and Lighting have years of concert and festival experience and we can customize a concert/event package to fit your needs and your budget.

There are many stage options that we can offer, however, many events find that a mobile stage is right for them.  Southern Sound and Lighting offers two main sizes for a mobile stage; 32×24 and 40×40.  Additional loading doc areas, cat walks, and monitor worlds can be built off of these mobile stages.   Other sizes of mobile stages are available too, just give us a call to discuss.

If you need a concert or event stage and a mobile stage won’t do, we use Stage Right decks to build custom configurations.  Our platforms are 4×4 or 4×8 and can be 12″ to 60″ inches in height.  Most of our roofing systems are built using Thomas Truss.

Southern Sound and Lighting also offers VIP stage decks – which is a great addition to a large festival.
